       ABOUT DAHLIA

Over the last fifteen years, I have dedicated myself to helping people connect with one another. Both in and

out of the therapy room, I am guided by my lifelong passion for spreading empathy, kindness and awareness in the world. My ultimate commitment is to help couples, individuals and families create relationships that work.

With a dedication to lifelong learning and growth, I

have spent hundreds of hours delving deeply into post-graduate trainings that address trauma and somatic modalities to heal the foundational wounds that still impact us today. I completed a two-year training in

PACT Couple Therapy, and currently coach the Level 1 and Level 2 PACT therapist trainings, including leading many of PACT's Question and Answer sessions for therapists. I also completed an additional two-year training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and practice as a Level 2 SP Therapist.

In the years prior to becoming a therapist, I worked as a Certified Nonviolent Parent Educator. Over the years, I facilitated parenting support groups, led workshops for parents, conducted professional development programs for educators, and published parenting articles, including this article in LA Parent, and this article in The Huffington Post. Early in my career, I worked as a behavior intervention specialist and case supervisor, where I worked with typical and special needs children, their families, and their teachers. My extensive background working with families, as well as my own life experiences as a parent of two children, deeply inform my approach with parents today.

Before working in a private practice setting, I also served families as the on-site school therapist at a local charter elementary school.
